Master study programs at Sports Education Faculty

Sports Coaching
The aim of the second-degree study programme Sports Coaching  is to prepare specialists for scientific research and academic activity able to perform and organise independently scientific research in the fields of Sports Science (inter-subject research), able to apply scientific knowledge and research methods in the educator’s work. This programme is intended for deepening of the student’s competence over the first-level studies. 
Aims of the Master study programme of Sports Coaching  are as follows: to provide deeper knowledge of the Sports Science, to familiarise with the latest theories and technologies of athletic training that the Master of Sports could apply in practical activity; to develop skills of scientific work or skills necessary for applied activity of the scientific researcher or academic staff; to develop the need of continual learning revealing dispositions and capabilities of the master student that would assure constant level of competence for realisation of the acquired knowledge, abilities and skills under continually changing environmental conditions.
Tourism and Sports Management
The aim of Tourism and Sport Management program is to prepare highly qualified tourism and/or sport managers through education, studies and active dialog, collaborating with various Lithuanian tourism and sport organizations and consequently to contribute to a well-rounded education, its social stability and integration into European culture, science and studies.
The aim of the program is to prepare managers, who: understand how political, economic, social and cultural factors influence the leisure market and reflect on management of tourism and sport companies, government institutions and other organizations; are able to assess and forecast national and international business environment; are creative, initiative and meet challenges; are familiar with modern technologies and are able to apply achievements of modern science in activities of an organization, company or its division; demonstrate a need of continuous learning and development in attempt to become an active member of information community in a constantly changing environment; are able to independently conduct academic research or educational pedagogic work in a higher education institution.
